Rainforest

Hot, steamy jungle, clinging mud, waist deep water, biting insects, wet clothing, sweat bees in my ears and eyes, that prickly spider bouncing down inside my shirt and mosquitoes trying to escape from the prison that has become the area between my glasses & eyes; all this fades into insignificance when marvelling at the wonder of nature in its most fantastic expression – the rainforest. A world which fills one with awe, but is, at the same time, inherently vulnerable to our actions. From the tiniest insects to the large tapir, small seedlings to mighty trees, quiet lakes to powerful rivers, the rainforest awakens my spirit and begs discovery.
